Early season races

Hi Guys,
I'm going to have a try at the crazy old TTs again this year and wondered if people were up for trying to get some teams into races?

If anyone is interested, I was going to start with "The hilly" then attempt to get in these...

17th Retford and Dist 10 Tuxford
18th Trent Valley 10 O2

Fri 6th April CityRC 10 V718
7th April CDLCA 10 Six Hills

21st April BDCA

Good to see you back racing again.
I was looking to enter Tuxford on the 17th (depending on any suitable club 25 dates), followed by V718 on the 6th - Entry will need to be in early it's very popular.

If you're looking at a Endura club skin suit, you will need a medium, the small is very small. You might want to consider an Assos s/s pricey but the business.

I started getting ill almost as soon as I posted that I was going to do those races! Hopefully be on the mend in time for the hilly.

I'll be entering the Good Friday 10 on the V718 but not sure what else just yet. It'd be good to coordinate and get a few of us going to the same events.

We would have a fairly strong team if a few of us got together.
Why dont you find a partner for 2 up Lee?

Doesn't appeal really. I won't be doing TTs on top form so if I'm not going too well in a solo race it doesn't matter, when you're working with someone else it does.

Paddy, no way you can be persuaded to come to Tuxford with me and Dom on 17th March? That's probably the kind of event we would still have a shot at the team prize I would think. (Anyone any ideas on the club 10 team record?)

Anyone got any thoughts on whether the BDCA ass event on 21st April will be a full field? Obviously the open one will be but my only 25 time is likely to be from our hilly!!!

I would imagine that it'll be a full field, but as a BDCA event you should be ok. BDCA riders get preference in the open event.

Maybe give the organiser a ring just to explain your circumstances.

Not that my contributions would help a lot towards any team award, but I'm entering the BDCA '25' on April 21st and may possibly treat myself to a birthday bash around Six Hills on the 7th in order to work up a decent thirst for the evening.

Hi Doug, i have already entered the O10/1 on the 17th and its a course i enjoy. I am probably going to give the drag strip courses (dual carriageways) a wider berth this year, and have a crack at some of the more sporting courses around the region.
If I change my mind i will chat to you at the midweek races in a few weeks time.
