New rod surface past Haddon

Those of you being lead through the roadworks in a convoy will have had a preview of the lovely new surface being Haddon and Bakewell on the time trial route. Not before time. It was getting very dangerous.

Cyclists are reminded that the authority have a legal obligation to fill single potholes, if they are a prescribed depth, within 24 hours of being reported. I recently asked Highways to trim back the overhanging brash and sweep up the marbles between Whatstandwell and Belper and they did it in double quick time, so it's always worth a call.

Damn, I've taken to the dark side this winter, was going to take the TTs eas/y/ier this year. What a waste!

It really is a super stretch of tarmac.
I might still be able to get under half an hour on the 10 course.
