I'm entering this shortly. I think Kev' and Paul are too and there may be more. It's just over 100K from Bradwell to Ashbourne and back via Longnor. £5 - pre-entry only. As usual with audax events, good tea, cakes etc at finish and a decent cafe mid-way. Full details on Audax UK web-site.

Finally pulled my finger out and entered this one. Well at least I will have when I can find two more envelopes :o).
Have you had any more interest Martin? Also is there any detailed route info. anyhwhere or does that not get finalised until nearer the time?

Martin Stocks 12 December, 2011 13:37

Route is very simple. You'll be fine with me, Kev, Paul and possibly others. It goes down the A6 to Pickory Corner, then up and over to Longcliffe, Brassington, Ashbourne (CP at start of Tissington Trail). We'll probably detour off the main road through Mappleton and Blore before rejoining A523 towards Leek. Lunch at Windy Harbour cafe, then right at Bottomhouse back to Warslow, Longnor, Millers Dale, Tideswell and back to Bradwell.

Thanks Martin
I went out for a quick (well as quick as 55 miles can be) reccy of part of the course from home last week. It definitely seemed more up than down but straightforward enough as you say.

Looking forward to Saturday....did you say you were aiming for a 9.30 start (arrive Bradwell 9ish?)...my memory has been dulled by all the Christmas activities :o)

Weather looks OK for Saturday apart from the wind!

Mike

I think it's a 9am kick off from the sports club in Bradwell. Takes about 45 minutes to get there by car. Paul, Nick and I are definitely doing it. Aim to be there by about 0830 to 0840 to give time to register, get bike assembled, gear on and a cup of tea and biscuit, with 0900 roll out.

I'll be down at roller/turbo training this evening if you need any more info.

Cup of tea and a biscuit? Very civilised.

I can't make the roller training tonight (afternoon shifts) so will see you all at Bradwell some time before 9am.
Save some legs for Saturday!
