Three Matlock riders entered Belper BC’s 25mile time-trial on Sunday which normally uses the Etwall – Uttoxeter – Etwall course along the A50. However temporary roadworks meant that the course had to be altered which saw the riders take in Doveridge instead.
The event was won by Matlock’s Richard Cordin who set the benchmark with 56-14 to win by 20 seconds from junior rider Richard Handley, who recently won the National Junior 25mile Championship.
The other local finishers were Steve Strange and Dominic Wibberley of Matlock who recorded 1-03-02 and 1-04-02 respectively on a very wet and windy morning.
