Club 10 No.8 - 01.07.08
Favourable weather conditions on Tuesday night encouraged 26 riders to turn out for Matlock’s Club 10 including a number of riders from Belper BC and Derby Mercury. On the night a significant South South-Easterly wind blew the riders up to Bakewell with many riders recording personal bests.
Peter Colledge’s good form continued as he not only claimed victory but also set a new course record and personal best to record 22-05 and knock 2 seconds off Andy Woolf’s record set in 2006. In second place was Chris Green who finished with 22-14 which was also a new veterans course record by 10 seconds. Richard Cordin finished third in 22-18 to complete a Matlock 1-2-3.
Unattached rider Eugene Grant was riding the course for the first time and recorded a very quick time of 22-35 to secure fourth and relegate Belper BC riders Dave Wallwin and Jonathon Marshall to 5th and 6th recording 22-37 and 22-53 respectively.
