Club 10 No.4 - 03.06.08
Tuesday evening attracted 25 riders despite the continuous rain that afflicted Derbyshire for most of the day which luckily abated in the evening just in time for the race! This week saw Richard Cordin get the better of Peter Colledge which was the reverse of last weeks '10'. Cordin riding fixed gear :x and into a strong North Westerly wind recorded 22-53 with Colledge just 7 seconds behind in 23-00.
In third place Chris Green was a further 11 seconds behind Colledge in 23-11. Guest rider Daryl May of Sheffrec RC finished 4th just over a minute back in 24-12; with Steve Strange 5th and Matt Ingram 6th at 13 and 19 seconds respectively. Cyclo-cross rider Leigh Fearn riding without the aid of aero bars finished a creditable 9th in 25-20!
Youngster Patrick Smart recorded a new personal best despite the slow conditions to finish in 33-13 and beat his previous best by 35 seconds. The unluckiest rider of the night was Nick Pine whose chain snapped. Luckily for Nick it wasn't too far from the finish where he was parked and thus only had a short distance to walk!
