On Thursday night 14 riders took advantage of favourable conditions to post fast times with Chris Green setting the fastest. Back from a week away and clearly refreshed saw Chris go under the 28 minute barrier for the first time this year to record a season best with 27-50.
After his win last week Steve Heading had to settle for second place with 28-15 despite recording a personal best. Also recording a personal best was cyclo-cross rider Leigh Fearn who posted 28-38 despite riding his cross bike with 28mm tyres and 46 front tooth chainring!
In fourth spot Steve Strange set a season best time with 29-25 which was just 20 seconds slower than his previous best of 29-05 set in 2007. Kevin White riding only his second time-trial of the season finished 5th in 29-55 and just squeeze under the 30 minute barrier.
Annie Last set her fastest time this year to post 33-07 which was almost a 2 minute improvement on last week; and twelve year old Patrick Smart also set a new fast time to go 2-26 quicker to finish in 40-47.
