Pdf Ride Leader Diary July-August

For July and August, Sundays will see club rides every week, with a view to continuing all year round if the trial is successful and demand exists.

For a trial period the suggested format is a traditional 'club-run' pace for 3-4 hours, usually to include a cafe stop. Routes can be finalised on the day of the ride, dependent on weather and riders wishes. If a route is pre-planned it will be posted on the attached diary.

Rides will accommodate those that turn up but the format intially will be a traditional 'Sunday Club-run pace' which should mean riding together as a group for the duration of the ride. The ladies rides will continue to run alongside, uninterupted.

In keeping with British Cycling guidance, each ride should have a designated 'leader' who is a club member to ensure that the club is insured in the event of a mishap. The ride leader does not need to ride on the front, nor do they need to dictate the route, but should ensure that a route or meeting point is agreed before departing, and should keep an eye out for the group as a whole, particularly young riders. We will aim to identify ride leaders before the day of the ride, but we do need volunteers. Attached to this article is a diary of dates for July and August. If you can spare a morning to act as ride leader, please contact me, Chris Metcalfe on iam_mrmetcalfe@hotmail.com and I will add you to the diary.

If you have any suggestions, please add them to the forum.
