Heavy rain on Friday night and Saturday morning meant that Round 13 was the muddiest event so far of this season which attracted Italian International Cross rider Grandi Ale using the event as a warm up for the National Trophy at Rutland Water the following day.

Darley Dale's Zepnat Team laid out a very demanding course with their helpers who were well assisted by the staff at the Education Centre. Their Category A promotion attracted a near record of 200 riders and the hot and sunny weather also brought out a large crowd of supporters. Riders had travelled from the Scottish Borders as well as southern England but it was to be riders from the two counties that dominated affairs...

Several Matlock CC riders were in action on Sunday at Round 2 of the Midland's Mountain Bike Race Series. The Cannock Chase course made use of some of the best riding in the West Midlands with steep demanding climbs and fast technical descents.

Twelve bleary eyed riders gathered on Long Dale near Hartington on Easter Monday morning to contest the Hartington 10. Peter Colledge riding his new Cervelo TT machine was clearly up for it and was hoping Chris Green had heavy legs after riding the Buxton Hilly on Good Friday!
